All-New Ford Escape Brings Style and Substance to Small SUVs
with Class-Leading Hybrids, Flexibility and Exclusive Technology

Nothing was left untouched when redesigning the 2020 Ford Escape it's lower, wider, longer and lighter than ever before! The 2020 Ford Escape comes with a comfortable interior and a new sleek look for the exterior. With a sporty, modern design, the all-new Escape rides boldly into a new decade with great expectations. And this small SUV, now Ford's second-best-selling vehicle behind only the F‑150, is designed to exceed those expectations. Because underneath the athletic appearance, there are two updated engines, a hybrid powertrain, a plug-in hybrid model (coming Spring 2020) and all-wheel drive. The inside offers more interior room, flexible cargo space and a multitude of technologies to help keep drivers alert and connected while they're enjoying the ride. After the tasks of the day are completed, people want their vehicle to offer more than impressive technology and attractive looks - they want it to deliver the prospect of freedom and adventure.

All-New Sporty Design

Escape has gotten its first major redesign since 2013 and it's a head-turner. The slightly wider stance and longer body, combined with a lower roofline emphasize its athletic, flowing shape. From the front, the design takes inspiration from Ford performance cars - the shield-shaped trapezoidal grille reflects the sixth-generation Mustang styling, for example. All topped off with an all-new lineup of wheels.
Room to Move

An all-new interior takes comfort and flexibility to new heights. An available 12.3" digital instrument cluster keeps the driver informed while the available B&O Sound System from Bang & Olufsen delivers optimum audio. The new sliding second-row seats allow owners to optimize their interior space. With the seats forward, the rear cargo area sprawls open to 37.5 cubic feet, which allows customers to bring along their favorite pooch in a full-size cage. The human passengers' experience will improve too with new seat designs and seating materials as well as improved entry and exit.
Commanding Intelligence

We call this the smartest Escape ever for many reasons. It starts with the latest Ford Co‑Pilot360 driver-assist features plus Active Park Assist 2.0 to help keep drivers aware of their surroundings. SYNC 3 is enhanced for 2020 with easier-to-read graphics, all driver-assist feature settings managed via the center-stack screen and streamlined navigation for task completion. While FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi‑Fi hotspot keeps the driver and passengers connected.
Steering Toward Safety

Safety features are expected, and the new Escape is committed to safety with new Ford Co‑Pilot 360 technologies as well as AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control), which also features Curve Control. This technology aids in accident avoidance while the Personal Safety System and Safety Canopy work to protect passengers in the event of a collision.

New SE Sport

Escape SE Sport is all-new for 2020, featuring the fourth-generation hybrid powertrain developed by Ford. This hybrid powertrain starts with a new 2.5L Atkinson-cycle engine combined with an electric motor and new electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT). Black-accented trim and Ebony Black-painted wheels set the tone on the outside while the 12.3" digital instrument cluster and leather-wrapped steering wheel add to the driving experience on the inside.
Head-Up Display

Keep your eyes on the road. The available head-up display creates an image on a display screen in front of the driver on the windshield. This minimizes the distraction of having to look at the instrument panel. Head-up display keeps you informed with various driver-assist features that include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane-Keeping System, Navigation, incoming calls and more.*

*Don't drive while distracted. See owner's manual for details and system limitations.
